

Improving My Blues Library
While working on this blues project, I've really been able to bulk up my Kindle library with books on legendary artists such as Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, Little Walter, Honeyboy Edwards, Jimmy Rogers, Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Willie Dixon and many more. Each book contains wonderful stories and insights into some of the best music ever recorded. I've certainly discovered a few artists I'd never heard of before and now consider myself a diehard

Searching for Sonny Boy
I joined a current writing partner of mine, Bill Donoghue, down in Helena, Arkansas this past October for the annual King Biscuit Blues Festival (check out the link HERE). In addtion to seeing some soulful musical performances by the likes of Bobby Rush, we continued research on Sonny Boy Williamson.


Danny Inducted into the RRHOF
Danny and the band have been eligible for the Rock and Roll Hallf of Fame since 1994 and this year they are finally being inducted! I couldn't be happier for Danny and can't wait to see what the boys cook up for a performance at the official ceremony in April 2016 at the Barclays Center in New York City. Building Homes of Hope
As Sean Lambert and I put the finishing touches on the book, I find myself reflecting on the time I have spent in Tijuana. There are many fond memories of meeting new friends and working together to help families in need. Over the course of the project, I learned valuable lessons from Sean about servant leadership, following your dreams and making a difference one family at a time. "It matters to this one..."
